FZG Apps ("we," "us," or "our") operates the YDS Max mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, the following information is collected automatically:

- Anonymous User ID: A unique identifier generated by Firebase Authentication. This ID is not linked to any personal information. Used to associate your exam history and progress with your device session.

- Exam Performance Data: Your answers, scores, correct/incorrect counts, and time spent on exams and practice sessions. Used to provide exam results, explanations, and history features.

- App Preferences: Theme preference (light/dark) and language preference (English/Turkish). Stored locally on your device only. Used to personalize your experience.

- Analytics Data: We collect anonymous usage data to help us understand how the App is used and to improve its features. This data includes: screen views, in-app events (e.g., exams started, completed, sections practiced), device type and model, operating system version, app version, country and language settings (derived from device settings, not from GPS or precise location), and session duration.

1.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be transparent about what we do not collect:

- Personal Identification Information: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, or any other personally identifiable information.

- Location Data: We do not collect your precise or approximate location.

- Contacts: We do not access your contacts or address book.

- Photos or Media: We do not access your camera, photos, or media files.

- Financial Information: We do not collect payment or financial information.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely for the following purposes:

- Provide the Service: To generate practice exams, deliver results, and display your exam history.

- Improve the App: To understand usage patterns at an aggregate, non-identifiable level and improve content quality.

- Maintain Security: To protect the App from abuse or unauthorized access.

3. Data Storage and Processing

3.1 Server-Side Storage

Your exam and practice data (answers, scores, and related metadata) is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the Europe (europe-west1) region. This data is associated with your anonymous user ID and cannot be linked to your real identity by us or any third party.

3.2 Local Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device using SharedPreferences:

- Whether the introductory walkthrough has been completed.

- Your preferred language (English or Turkish).

- Your preferred theme (light or dark mode).

This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

4.1 Google Firebase

We use Google Firebase for:

- Firebase Authentication: To create and manage anonymous user sessions. No personal data is required or collected.

- Firebase Analytics: To collect anonymous usage statistics for internal product improvement. Analytics data is not linked to user identity and is not used for advertising or tracking. We have disabled advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID) collection and do not export analytics data to any advertising platform.

- Cloud Functions for Firebase: To generate exam content and process submissions on the server side.

Firebase is operated by Google LLC. Data processed through Firebase is subject to Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and the Firebase Data Processing Terms (https://firebase.google.com/terms/data-processing-terms). Firebase servers used by this App are located in the European Union (europe-west1).

4.2 App Update Service

The App checks for available updates through the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). This check may transmit basic information to the store servers in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your information with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

- Service Providers: We share data with Google Firebase solely to operate the App as described above.

- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process, such as a court order or government request.

- Safety: We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of FZG Apps, our users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

We retain your anonymous exam data for as long as your anonymous account exists. Since accounts are anonymous and device-bound:

- Uninstalling the App effectively removes your association with the stored data, as the anonymous credentials are deleted from your device.

- Server-side data associated with inactive anonymous accounts may be periodically deleted.

- Local preferences are deleted immediately upon uninstalling the App.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

- All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

- Firebase Authentication tokens are used to authorize requests.

- Server-side data access is restricted through Firebase Security Rules.

- We do not store sensitive personal information, minimizing the risk of data breaches.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the App uses anonymous authentication and does not collect personal information, it does not pose specific risks to children's data. However, if you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to remove such information.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located in the European Union (specifically the europe-west1 region). If you are accessing the App from outside the EU, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the EU. By using the App, you consent to such transfer and processing.

10. Your Rights

10.1 For Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) / Turkey

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Turkish Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), you may have the right to:

- Access the data we hold about you.

- Request correction of inaccurate data.

- Request deletion of your data.

- Object to or restrict processing of your data.

- Data portability.

10.2 For Users in California (USA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:

- Know what personal information is collected.

- Request deletion of personal information.

- Opt out of the sale of personal information. (We do not sell personal information.)

- Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

12. App Store Specific Disclosures

12.1 Apple App Store

In accordance with Apple's App Store requirements, our App's privacy nutrition label reflects the following:

- Data Used to Track You: None.

- Data Linked to You: None.

- Data Not Linked to You: Identifiers (anonymous user ID), Usage Data (exam performance).

12.2 Google Play Store

In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements:

- Data shared with third parties: None.

- Data collected: App activity (exam interactions, screen views, in-app events) and app info/performance (diagnostics). This data is not linked to your identity.

- Security practices: Data is encrypted in transit. Data cannot be deleted by the user directly but can be requested for deletion via email.
